August 6, 2019 – The Town of Hampden is hiring a full-time Firefighter/AEMT (paramedic preferred). Hampden is located adjacent to Bangor and has a year-round population of 7,257. Land area is approximately 39 square miles.
Hampden Fire Department is an 11 full-time employee combination department with approximately 1,000 fire and EMS calls per year.
Our schedule is a 42-hour work week with 1-on, 1-off, 1-on, 5-off. Pay range is $19.99 – $25.52 per hour. Bargaining unit is IAFF Local 4903 Professional Firefighters of Hampden. Competitive benefits including Maine State Retirement (MainePERS Plan 3C, 2/3 pay after 25 years + COLA) or ICMA (10% employer contribution).
