Home Based Training for First Responders
March 30, 9 am- Noon

Although the majority of troops adjust well when returning home, up to 44% have various post-deployment difficulties; 33% suffer from an invisible wound of war (PTSD/TBI); 37% suffer from depression; 39% suffer from problematic alcohol use and 22 veterans die by suicide each day. The training will include the below topics:

  • Substance Use/Abuse in the Military
  • Invisible Wounds of War: Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Invisible Wounds of War: Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
  • Understanding Suicide Risk in the Military: How Can You Help?
  • Military Culture
